Trevor from DBVI -

Trevor to speak about the new DBVI application to make it more accessible. Many documents are now more accessible and this will be an agenda item for the DBVI clients.

They are adding more features to include docu-sign and readable texts. The old system was 100 questions and 1 hour of time and they found it to be cumbersome and anti-inclusionary.

The new application is 31 questions total. It is on Micro-soft forms and it has been tested and seems more functional. They now reach out in three - five days instead of weeks.

The purpose of DBVI is to get people involved with work. They work with Iris network to provide tools and services to help people get back to work.

Sylvia spoke about the challenges of living alone and being blind and the challenges of shopping.

Trevor indicated that DBVI can help with counseling for the blind and accessibility.
